Covet Perfume Review

Covet is Sarah Jessica Parkers second perfume in her fragrance line with Coty Inc. The perfume was created in collaboration by Frank Volkl and Ann Gottlieb. Once again Parker didn’t rush together a perfume like most celebrities. With Covet being released two years after her first perfume.

At the time that Parker’s first perfume was released she said “If I get the opportunity, my next scent will be genderless. Fuller. Riskier.”. Since Covet has been released she has already said that it is “more aggressive” then her previous perfume Lovely. The advertising alone shows us that as they refer to it as impulsive, indulgent and irresistible.

I am not sure I would call Covet quite aggressive overall in the fragrance world. However it is a fresh, green, floral scent that is irresistible. With notes that include wet greens, geranium leaves, Sicilian lemon, lavender, chocolate, honeysuckle, magnolia, muguet, musk, vetiver, bois de cashmere, teakwood, and amber. The scents top notes start off with a snappy green smell. Which is soon after softened with a subtle chocolate scent, creating a very soft and sweet smell. After that the floral smells seem to blend in rather quickly into the scents woodsy muck base. Creating a deep scent with hints of sweetness coming through making it a very smooth smelling perfume.

Covet is a very different scent from Sarah Jessica Parkers first perfume Lovely, but it is another great fragrance in its own way. Like Lovely however Covet was very well made as you can tell from its very smooth and polished scent. We also found it to have an impressive lasting power. So overall Covet is another great modern feminine perfume from Sarah Jessica Parker, and we think once you smell it like the commercial says you will have to have it…
